Oh my gawd , power outage while I was saving the file, thank goodness I'm on a laptop. D8

Kara on a fictional aircruise! I have been working on this pic since last year... The background was from a year and a half ago, took me roughly 60-70 hours to complete all this. I'm exhausted and now I just want to submit it as soon as possible.

I'll add a more genuine comment later, I am totally too lazy to type now. sry D8

EDIT: added signature

Total layers used: 97
original size:3696*1926

background landscape texture created in terragen, modified in photoshop7.0. The rest is 100% hand-drawn

I fixed some major flaws, especially on the face and around that metal chair. It does look a bit different now I guess, I just hope it doesn't screw the original flavor up. If you REALLY LIKE the original better and are a friend I know well, note me and I'll send you a copy.

but i don't think she'd be able to keep her balance with the plane tilted they way it is.

Everyone else pretty much said what I was going to say. :P This picture really does show an excellent use of perspective as well as a great example of detailed backgrounds. I don't know what kind of stuff you went through to achieve that, but I'm sure it's something to be proud of. I myself thought it was a photo until I looked very hard at it. I especially enjoyed the composition of the picture. Two different uses of camera angles make very a very interesting picture, and you pretty much captured the moment of looking down at the scenery while a plane is making on of those tight turns. (Might wanna use a seat belt? ;P ) The detail of the terrain, the water reflections, and even the flat wing...excellent portrayal of a bright day. :aww:

You don't mind a little critique, do you? As much as I enjoyed the amount of effort you put into the picture, I think the presentation itself suffers from a lack of balance between details. To me, it looks like you were so focused on the background that you forgot to put forth the same effort on the inside of the plane, which feels a bit rushed in comparison. Examples include the simplicity of the orange chair, the tail, the folds in the clothes. Had the background been more simple, this would not have been a problem, but the insane amount of detail makes the simplicity of the room just pop out a lot, you know what I mean? I know, you just wanted to get it over with, but it's just that it's hard not to notice. <.<;

But either way, the mood of the excitement of air flight was excellently portrayed, and it kinda gives an interesting look at what is apparently an in-flight hotel. =P I like that concept, and the extra plane in the distance seems to show that it's a kind of expanding luxury. X3 Good job! I'm interesting in seeing more of these illustrations if you have more planned in the future!

Yes, the lack of balance XD, I was going to fill the foreground with lots of details until I got sick of coloring it. Thanks a bunch for the critique x3, and also for the thoughtful comment, I appreciate it greatly.

I can only partly imagine what exactly you went through in order to create this, it's amazing, I love the small amounts of detail you've put into things.

And the bell boy-ee person! He's lovely *pets*
